Function

The Rotary Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT) is a high-precision measuring device used in the aerospace industry to reliably and accurately convert a rotation angle into a corresponding electrical signal. This technology is widely used to monitor and control rotary movements in various aeronautical systems, such as flight control surfaces, actuators and navigation systems.

The RVDT operating principle is based on the use of differential transformers. The device generally comprises a rotor, which rotates in response to rotary motion, and a fixed stator surrounding the rotor. Primary and secondary coils are specifically arranged on the rotor and stator. As the rotor rotates, it changes the magnetic coupling between the coils, generating an output signal proportional to the angle of rotation.

The accuracy of the RVDT makes it a preferred choice for aerospace applications where reliable and consistent rotation angle measurements are essential. Whether for flight surface control, navigation or other critical systems, RVDT offers a robust, proven solution.

Function: Redundant horizontal plane position feedback. Application: Business aviation.
